The Inner Healer

The concept of the Inner Healer is one of Holotropic Breathwork’s most important pillars. It means that we work from a perspective where we believe that everybody carries their own inner healing wisdom. That the medicine and knowledge is already within you, and that you, through the practice of Holotropic Breathwork (and other modalities for inner inquiry), can establish and grow your connection to it and take the lead for your own healing and growth.

This belief and practice gifts participants the power and responsibility of their own healing journey. Working from this perspective also entails that we work from the position of calling ourselves facilitators rather than e.g. teachers, guides or healers. This includes the approach of doing-non-doing, which means that a participant’s process is participant led, and facilitators work from a standpoint of minimal interference and projection, focusing on encouragement, support and safety. This allows participants to own their journey and experience, and by so doing, letting the Inner Healer take centre stage.
